I express myself by painting intuitive abstract artworks.

My work is inspired by my own emotional landscape. Mood, worries, doubts and courage are translated intuitively through strong contrasts and vibrant colours with a sense of freeness.

My passion to create comes from a genuine desire to show who I am. Most of my life I have been following rules and expectations of others. My art is an attempt to express not only my fears, but also my hopes and dreams. It is my playground where no rules apply, where spontaneity, freedom and crazyness are allowed and welcome.

I have always been captivated by abstract art especially abstract expressionism.

Some paintings move me to tears in a very literal sense and they have a profound impact on me. I am fascinated that pure abstractionism can channel such strong emotions.

The artists that inspire me most are Joan Mitchell, Mark Rothko and Willem de Kooning, but also Jean-Michel Basquiat and Tracey Emin.

My painting process is chaotic and spontaneous. I let myself respond intuitively to what happens on the canvas. My hands engage in a dialogue that makes me lose all sense of time and space.

I work in acrylics which I combine with all sorts of mixed media but mostly with spray paint, pastels, graphite and charcoal.

Occasionally, I incorporate bouts of collage in my paintings. Sometimes they may stay apparent, other times they disappear completely under multiple layers of paint.

Layering is a crucial part of my painting process and also the most challenging. It forces me to take risks, to step out of my comfort zone and to let go of things.

I use all sorts of substrates and mediums. I like to paint on paper, hardwood and canvas. Lately I have started working larger and mostly on canvases that I build myself.

My studio is located in the heart of Luxembourg City.

I am currently preparing for my first exhibition which will take place in Luxembourg from the 15th to the 17th of September.
